Could Reggae Artiste Buju Banton walk free? U.S. Gov. error may trigger dismissal of case

Embattled Dancehall/Reggae superstar, Mark Myrie, more popularly known as Buju Banton may have a lifeline after all following the revelation on Tuesday that a United States government mishap could trigger the dismissal of his case.

According to media reports, Buju Banton could walk free from his conviction and subsequent ten year sentence on drug-related charges after the discovery that the U.S. government may have violated the Speedy Trial Act. The act states that any defendant involved within a case must be brought to trial by the government within a 70 day window; a right guaranteed under the Sixth Amendment in the American constitution. Additionally, said right is generally afforded to defendants so that they not subjected to unreasonably lengthy incarceration prior to a fair trial.

Are Rihanna and Chris Brown dating again? Various reports have indicated that they may be an item again, and a recent tweet to Drake from Ri may be part of the evidence!

Rihanna has dated Drake briefly in the past, as well as Chris Brown. More recently, she's worked with Drake on his album "Take Care" on the title track. Now, many are speculating that the R&B/pop princess is longing for Chris Brown again, despite their troubles before. According to Global Grind, the recent Twitter message from Rihanna said:

Vanessa Bryant Files For Divorce From Kobe

So much for a Merry Christmas. First Kobe loses Chris Paul and Lamar Odom in the same week, now his marriage is on the outs. According to TMZ  his wife Vanessa Bryant has filed for divorce from The Black Mamba. They were married in April of 2001 and have two children.

Citing irreconcilable differences Bryant filed paperwork in Los Angeles. A source told TMZ that Kobe was allegedly unfaithful to Vanessa and she’d had enough.  We can’t imagine what could be worse than the sexual assault charges he made her live through in 2003, but maybe looking at that $4 Million apology ring everyday  got to be too much.
